It is now common to see reality show in almost each and every entertainment channel that we come across today on the TV. There are two different schools of thought regarding such shows namely, American Idol 2012 and even x factor 2011. There is one group of people who believe that such reality shows have a lot of positives to offer. In the normal course it may note have been possible for ordinary people to take part in such shows. They consider shows such as the voice 2012 as the best chance for ordinary human beings to have a chance to occupy center stage and show case their talents to the entire world. Getting access to such a massive audience could be almost impossible in the normal scheme of things and hence they feel that such reality shows have a good and positive impact on ordinary people. On the other hand there is another group of people who are of the opinion that such reality shows are a real waste of time and money and nothing much is achieved out of this. There are quite a few instances where many x factor reality shows have become very personal and scandalous at times.

It puts unnecessary pressure on the participant and has a big mental, emotional and physical impact on such persons. They feel that at the end of the day, these reality shows are nothing but another way of making money. They have nothing much to offer in terms of gathering knowledge or contributing more to a better world. Though there is a lot of excitement being generated about shows such as american idol or x factor, the knowledge and information level of these reality shows is restricted only to a small group of people while the majority seems to be least bothered about such programs
